Conformance levels

WCAG recommendations are also organized into three levels of conformance: A, AA, and AAA. Each level builds on the previous level, with AA including all of the requirements of A, and AAA including all of the requirements of A and AA.

• A: Minimum level of accessibility.
• AA: Recommended level of accessibility for most websites and applications.
• AAA: Highest level of accessibility (only used for very specific websites or applications).
