Key Metrics

We utilize a range of industry-standard and proprietary metrics to provide a complete picture of A/V quality.

  • POLQA - A full-reference audio quality measurement standard expressed in the Mean Opinion Score (MOS) scale (POLQA website).
  • AUDIO DELAY - The end-to-end latency between when the audio signal is sent and when it is received.
  • VQTDL - A non-reference video quality evaluation algorithm calibrated to the MOS scale, developed by TestDevLab.
  • VMAF - A full-reference video quality evaluation algorithm developed by Netflix (Blog about VMAF).
  • FRAMERATE - The number of frames displayed per second on the receiver device.
  • VIDEO DELAY - The end-to-end latency between when the video frames are sent and when they are received.
  • BITRATE - The network consumption or usage of the specified device, measured by recording communication with the device's IP address.
