What Skills Can Help

Competitive analysis and benchmarking services need engineers to be familiar with the testing type and technology of the industry, such knowledge can be accumulated by working in the project or learning it through appropriate courses. Additionally, some skills are necessary to ensure that the testing can be used for competitive analysis and benchmarking purposes. 

Such skills include:

  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data in order to provide meaningful insights on product quality and performance;
  • Ability to work with different analysis tools that we use internally:
    • Google Tools such as Sheets, Slides, Docs;
    • JIRA dashboard advantages;
    • Confluence;
  • Microsoft Excel for more complex data.
  • Ability to work with big amounts of data from different types of tests, as well as combining different conclusions to provide overall performance evaluation;
  • Ability to create logical and informative scoring systems, data representations; 
  • Ability to create meaningful data visualization that makes it more readable and provides necessary information in an accessible way;
  • Overall experience or knowledge about different types of testing and how it can be used to evaluate a product's performance in a comparable way;
  • Research experience and abilities, as well as knowledge on data gathering from various sources.
