Test Monitoring

Test Monitoring is the continuous process of tracking and analyzing testing activities to assess progress against established goals. It involves collecting and reporting on key metrics, such as test execution status, defect trends, and overall coverage, to provide a clear picture of the testing effort and its effectiveness.

Example: A QA manager uses a dashboard to perform Test Monitoring for a new software release. They review weekly reports to track the number of test cases executed, the pass/fail rate, and the number of new defects found. By analyzing this data, the manager can identify potential delays, reallocate resources to specific areas, and provide stakeholders with a clear status update on the project's quality and readiness.
