Usability Testing

Usability Testing is the practice of evaluating a software product by having real people use it to accomplish specific tasks. This approach focuses on observing user behavior to see how effortless and intuitive the product is to use, with the primary goal of identifying any pain points or confusion in the user experience.

Example: A new e-commerce website is about to launch, but the company wants to ensure the checkout process is smooth. They gather a group of people who match their target audience and ask them to purchase an item. During the test, a moderator observes how easily users navigate the checkout form, whether they get confused by the payment options, or if they struggle to find the confirmation button. This feedback is then used to simplify the checkout flow, making it less frustrating for future customers.
