Iterative Development

Iterative Development is a software development methodology that breaks down a project into a series of small, repeatable cycles, or iterations. In each cycle, the team develops and tests a portion of the product, and then uses feedback from that iteration to refine the next. This approach allows for continuous improvement and helps to manage project risks more effectively.

Example: A team is building a new mobile app. Instead of trying to build the entire app at once, they use the Iterative Development. In the first iteration, they build only the core login and profile creation features. They test these features, get feedback from a few users, and fix any bugs. In the next iteration, they use that feedback to improve the login screen and then add a new feature, like a news feed. This process continues, with each cycle adding to and improving upon the previous version until the final product is complete.
