Shaking up the QA industry since 2011
2011
TestDevLab was founded in 2011 by two ex-Skype engineers, Andrejs and Ervins, who were a part of the core engineering team at that time.
2012
In 2012, we got our first client, hired our first three employees, and got our first office space in Ventspils High Technology Park.
2013
We opened our second office in Riga, took our first business trip to the US, participated in our first conference, and reached 20 employees.
2014
After three years of hard work, our team grew to 30 people and our test device fleet exceeded 200 real devices. Additionally, we started to work on our first testing product—Apimation.
2015
In 2015, we started working with our new clients—Twilio and Truecaller. With their help we managed to continue our growth. We are still working with them today.
2016
Due to fast growth, we had to change our Riga office location twice. We attended a lot of conferences, gained many new clients, and won first place in the Export and Innovation Award 2016.
2017
This year was marked by new clients, products and awards. We received the Red Jackets Award of Export Excellence and were finalists in the European Software Testing Awards 2017.
2018
We opened our third office in the capital of Latvian rock music, Liepāja, and welcomed our 100th employee. We started working on our next testing product—Loadero.
2019
In 2019, we opened our fourth office in Daugavpils, obtained an information security ISO/IEC 27001: 2013 certificate, and almost doubled our number of employees—all in one year.
2020
We started several partnerships with well-known companies, invested in massive improvements to our audio and video testing laboratory, and opened two additional offices in Latvia.
2021
This was a year of milestones. We welcomed our 400th employee, extended our test device fleet to 3,000 real devices, and most importantly, celebrated TestDevLab's 10th anniversary.
2022
We officially opened three new offices—in North Macedonia, Estonia, and Lithuania—and hit the 500+ employee threshold. After a longer break, we visited on-site events, including worldwide conferences such as WorldSummit AI, WebSummit, and SEETEST
2023
In 2023, we opened our next office, but this time in Spain (Malaga), extended our accessibility, ISO advisory and development departments, and attended multiple world wide conferences, like CES, Demuxed, Collision, and DES.
2024
In 2024, we continued our expansion goals by opening a legal entity in the US, moving to a new office in Riga, and expanding our R&D team to work on new solutions that take the software testing game to the next level.
2025
2025 brought major milestones: we launched our first publicly available GPT for software testing BarkoAgent.com and joined forces with global engineering company Xoriant.
