BFSI

Banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI)

QA for banking, fintech, and insurance platforms, led by ISTQB-certified engineers who understand underwriting logic, payment rails, and core banking systems as well as the regulations built around them.

The goal

Get your BFSI app to where it needs to be

Work with QA engineers who've spent time inside locked-down banking environments and untangled claims workflows before. That's the standard every BFSI engagement starts from.

  • Regulatory compliance and recertification

Retest quickly whenever rules change, so you stay compliant and recertification doesn't stall your release.

  • Complex business logic

Validate the logic behind underwriting, premium calculations, claims, billing, and renewals, not just the interface on top of it.

  • Sensitive data and security

Protect financial and personal data with secured test environments and masked data, so security is never the weak point.

  • Third-party integration complexity

Check every connection, from core systems to payment rails to compliance tools, so one weak integration doesn't compromise the rest.

  • Legacy modernization and migration

Test decades-old systems as they are, shaped by years of customization, and get support with migration whenever you're ready.

  • Cross-border and multi-jurisdiction compliance

Account for every jurisdiction you operate in, since compliant in one market doesn't mean compliant in the next.

We already know your challenges.

How we support BFSI companies

Same regulatory weight, different failure points

A core banking platform fails differently than a claims engine or a payment gateway. Banking, fintech, and insurance share regulatory weight, but the systems and failure points underneath each one are distinct. We test them that way. On their own terms, not with a one-size-fits-all checklist.

Core systems, customizations and all

Core banking platforms, whether an off-the-shelf system or something heavily customized in-house, each carry their own logic and failure modes. We test what's actually there, not what the manual says should be there.

  • Core banking systems
  • Online and mobile banking platforms
  • Corporate banking software
  • Loan and credit processing applications
  • Wealth management applications

Legacy systems

Still running on your original core system?

Core banking platforms and policy administration systems are often decades old, shaped by years of customizations and integrations layered on top. We test legacy systems as they are, and support the migration when and if you're ready to move off them.

What makes working with us easier

We've built our BFSI engagements around removing friction wherever we can — in the contract, the team, and how you get started. Here's what that looks like in practice.

  • NDA before scoping

Confidentiality is standard from the first conversation, not a negotiated add-on.

  • IP assigned to you

Test assets and code we build belong to your organization, not to us.

  • ISTQB certified engineers

Every engineer on a BFSI engagement holds recognized QA certification.

  • AI-augmented, human-led

AI accelerates coverage, but engineers keep judgment over high-stakes logic.

  • Low-commitment entry

Most engagements begin with a one-week audit. No long-term commitment required upfront.

  • Real-device testing

We test your BFSI app on real devices, not emulators, across different models and OS versions.

  • Quality Management
  • Business Continuity
  • GDPR compliant

Case studies

How we've handled the constraints that come with BFSI apps

Every BFSI project comes with its own challenges, like strict security requirements, legacy infrastructure, and test suites that need migrating. Here's how we've worked through a few of them.

The challenge: An insurance company's policy-issuance system needed its entire API test suite migrated to a new tool, with performance testing added on top, before the target environment was even fully ready.

Insurance

Migrating and scaling API tests for a policy-issuance platform

We migrated the existing API test suite to a dedicated performance tool and built new load scenarios simulating concurrent users, giving the client visibility into system stability and risk before the product reached production, even while the target environment was still being finalized.

The challenge: BTA's mobile testing ran across two separate setups, Linux for Android and macOS for iOS, creating maintenance overhead and device reliability issues that led to overheating and flaky test runs.

Banking

Building a reliable device lab for BTA

We consolidated the client's fragmented Android and iOS setup into a single high-performance workstation, then engineered a custom device lab with active cooling that eliminated overheating and cut flaky test runs.

The challenge: A banking client needed to add SMS-based multi-factor authentication to an automated login flow, but every step of the work had to happen inside a locked-down, IP-whitelisted corporate environment with restricted machine access.

Banking

Automating secure authentication behind a locked-down perimeter

Working entirely inside the client's IP-whitelisted, locked-down infrastructure, we adapted the automated login flow to support SMS-based multi-factor authentication, building our own secure workaround process to keep development moving without disrupting daily test execution.

Engagement models

Collaboration that aligns with how you work

Not every project needs the same kind of QA support. Whether you need extra hands, a dedicated team, or full ownership of testing, we work the way that actually fits your situation.

  • Staff augmentation

Add QA engineers to your existing team when you need specific skills or extra hands, fast.

    Advantages:

    • Fast access to engineers with BFSI-specific testing experience
    • Scale up or down as project demands shift
    • Lower overhead than hiring and onboarding full-time staff

    Best for:

Covering a skills gap or a short-term spike in testing volume.

  • Dedicated QA team

A team that plugs directly into your workflows, tools, and processes, and works like part of your organization.

    Advantages:

    • You keep visibility and control over how the team operates
    • Deep familiarity with your systems, standards, and release cycles
    • A team that flexes in size as your roadmap changes

    Best for:

Ongoing testing programs or long-running, complex projects.

  • Managed QA engagement

We take ownership of testing from start to finish, so your team doesn't have to manage it.

    Advantages:

    • We own the process, from test strategy through execution and reporting
    • Minimal oversight required from your side
    • Consistent delivery timelines and predictable outcomes

    Best for:

Teams who want testing handled end to end so they can stay focused on the product.

Production data is anonymized before it enters any test environment, and access is controlled throughout the engagement, in line with GDPR and PCI DSS. Every project starts with a mutual NDA before any scoping work begins.

Start with a one-week QA audit, no team hire required.
